Review Paper: Wearable Soft Actuation Systems for Human–machine–environment Interactions

Congratulations to Dr. Zhai Wei and Dr. Zhan Liuxiang on their latest publication! 👏

We’re pleased to share their review paper “Wearable soft actuation systems for human–machine–environment interactions”, published on Materials Today.

The paper presents state-of-the-art advances in materials, fabrication methods, and integration strategies for soft actuators that prioritize safety, comfort, and responsiveness. As the field progresses toward more immersive, assistive, and adaptive systems, such work is key to bridging human capabilities with machine augmentation – with impactful applications in healthcare, the metaverse, fashion, and beyond.
