Research Paper: AI-guided 3D Bioprinting of Multi-drug-loaded Chitosan Methacrylate Hydrogels for Personalized Diabetic Ulcer Repair

We are proud to share a recent publication “AI-guided 3D bioprinting of multi-drug-loaded chitosan methacrylate hydrogels for personalized diabetic ulcer repair” from our Centre PI Prof Chi-Hwa Wang and his team, supported by NAMIC Singapore and Dr Sook Muay Tay from Singapore General Hospital.

Highlights of the team’s work include:

đź”· AI-enabled wound modelling and segmentation
đź”· 3D-bioprinted, drug-loaded hydrogels
đź”· 93.62% wound closure by Day 21 in diabetic pig studies

This publication demonstrates how additive manufacturing, AI, and translational biomedical research can come together to advance more personalized and effective healthcare solutions.

Congratulations to Prof Wang and the team on this excellent achievement!
