Workshop: Design for Healthcare & 3D Printing
What happens when design thinking meets 3D printing in healthcare?
On 15 August 2026, AM.NUS and the Centre for Healthcare Simulation (CHS), NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, kicked off the first of our two-Saturday Design for Healthcare & 3D Printing Course, supported by NAMIC Singapore.
The course takes participants through the journey from identifying clinical or educational needs to developing and evaluating their own physical prototype.
During the first Saturday, participants explored:
🔷 Design thinking for healthcare problem-solving
🔷 The roles of clinicians, designers, and engineers
🔷 AI powered digital design and prototyping workflows
🔷 3D printing technologies and applications
The participants’ selected concepts then gets 3D printed where they get to review, post-process, test, and evaluate their creation!
