Workshop: Design for Healthcare & 3D Printing Day 2
Beyond 3D Printing: From Recognition to Implementation
For the second Saturday of our two-weekend Design for Healthcare & 3D Printing Workshop, participants returned to explore an important question: What comes next after developing an initial prototype?
Through hands-on activities and industry sharing, participants explored:
🔷 Combining different materials and fabrication methods to create healthcare training models
🔷 Understanding different 3D-printing technologies and materials
🔷 Advancing clinical ideas beyond the initial prototype
🔷 Applying AR/VR technologies in simulation training and centre facilities, shared by A/Prof. Ching Chiuan Yen
🔷 Intellectual property and innovation support, shared by Dr Alfred Chia and Guo Bin Lin from the National University Health System Research Office
🔷 Singapore’s 3D-printing landscape, shared by Shyam R from Kingly.
A heartfelt thank you to our speakers, facilitators, and participants for making this two-weekend journey enriching and enjoyable!
